Zaiyan Xu and Blake Dorman Texas Death and Obituary: Always In Our Hearts

Blake Kevin-Harrison Dorman, a senior sport management major from Southlake, and Zaiyan Xu, a doctoral student in computer engineering from China, will be honored during the upcoming Silver Taps ceremony. The ceremony will take place at 10:20 p.m. at the Academic Plaza. During the event, an honor guard from the Ross Volunteer Company will march into the plaza and fire three rifle volleys. Following this, bugle players from the Academic Building will perform “Taps.”

Those wishing to express condolences to the families can do so by emailing silvertaps@tamutraditions.net or by placing letters in one of four memorial boxes. These boxes are located at the Academic Plaza, the Memorial Student Center 12th Man Hall, the Quad, and in front of the West Campus Dining Facility.

Silver Taps is a time-honored tradition held on the first Tuesday of each month from September through April, dating back to the early 20th century.
