Stabbing Incident at Tenby Station Leaves Four Injured

Four individuals have been taken to the hospital with stab wounds after an altercation at Tenby railway station in Pembrokeshire on Tuesday evening.

A 16-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of assault with intent to cause harm and are currently in custody. The incident, which occurred around 9:50 p.m. BST, involved one person reportedly carrying a knife, resulting in four people sustaining injuries. Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

The police have assured the public that additional officers will be present in the area to provide reassurance. A statement from the force read, “We recognize that such incidents can be concerning, and we are increasing our presence in the area to offer comfort to the public.”

British Transport Police are leading a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the altercation, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Davies commented, “While we believe this was an isolated incident, we understand it may cause distress in the community. Increased police visibility will be present in the area to help reassure passengers.”

Train services have been affected as a result of the incident. Transport for Wales confirmed that trains between Carmarthen and Pembroke Dock have been canceled. As a result, passengers will experience either full cancellations or revised services operating only between Cardiff Central and Carmarthen.
