Joseph Marshall Sterling Heights, MI Death-Obituary: Gone But Never Forgotten

With profound sadness, we honor the life of Joseph “Joey” Marshall, whose sudden passing has left a deep and lasting impact on his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. Joey’s presence was a source of joy, warmth, and inspiration, and his absence is deeply felt across the community.

Born on May 22, 2001, Joey lived a life full of purpose, kindness, and compassion. Known for his infectious smile and gentle humor, he had an extraordinary ability to lift the spirits of those around him, even in the toughest of times. His resilience and unwavering faith guided him through challenges, shaping a life marked by generosity, empathy, and love.

Joey pursued a career in nursing at Macomb Community College, driven by a heartfelt desire to care for others. His dedication to service extended beyond academics—whether assisting at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, helping friends, or simply being present for his loved ones, Joey consistently put others first. He approached life with a servant’s heart, always offering support, encouragement, and compassion wherever he went.

Faith was central to Joey’s life. A devoted member of First Church Sterling Heights, he exemplified the love and teachings of his faith through both action and character. Joey was a loyal friend, a cherished sibling, and a devoted son, embracing each role with humility and a deep sense of love. His life embodied selflessness, integrity, and heartfelt devotion to those he cared about.

He is survived by his sisters Bianca Mori and Tiffany Marie Richert, his brother Benji Marshall, uncles Aaron Patrick Porter Sr. and Johnathon “John” Wylie, cousins Aaron Porter Jr. and Justin Hill, brother-in-law Eric Vandewater, and many other family members and loved ones. Each carries treasured memories of his laughter, warmth, and the light he brought into their lives.

Though we grieve his loss, we take comfort in the promises of faith, remembering that God will provide solace and a place free of sorrow. Joey Marshall’s memory will endure, his light shining forever in the hearts of all who loved him.
