Montario D. Peoples Tragic Shooting Anderson, IN Death and Obituary: Gone Too Soon

The Bourbon Street area is grappling with grief following the death of 34-year-old Montario D. Peoples, who was shot while sitting in his vehicle early Easter Sunday outside Bourbon Street Sports Bar & Grill on East 53rd Street. Emergency responders arrived shortly after 2:43 a.m. and found Peoples suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Madison County Coroner, Adam Matson, later confirmed that he died from several gunshot injuries.

A woman riding with Peoples was also struck and transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities later described her injuries as non-life-threatening. Other passengers in the car were unharmed.
