Jordanne Drinkwater Stabbing Conway, AK Death, Obituary: Always In Our Hearts
The community is in shock after 32-year-old Walmart associate Jordanne Drinkwater was tragically stabbed to death late Tuesday night in what police are calling a senseless act of violence. The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. inside the Walmart on Skyline Drive, where Drinkwater was fatally attacked by a stranger, later identified as 37-year-old Zeddrick Ross. Despite the rapid response of officers and medical personnel, Drinkwater was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, officers arrived within a minute of the call reporting a male suspect attacking a female employee with a knife. Upon arrival, they encountered Ross still armed with the weapon. One officer fired a shot that missed, while another deployed a Taser to subdue the suspect. Ross was taken into custody and is currently held at the Faulkner County Detention Center.
Investigators revealed that Ross had brought the knife into the store and was not an employee. Preliminary investigations show that there was no known relationship between him and Drinkwater prior to the attack. Police have placed the officer involved on administrative leave, as per standard protocol, and are actively reviewing surveillance footage and witness testimonies.
Drinkwater’s coworkers and friends are remembering her as a kind and generous individual, well-loved by those who knew her. Her unexpected death has left a deep void in the small community, as she was known for her warm personality and the genuine care she showed others in the workplace.
While the investigation continues, police have not yet identified a motive, though they stress the randomness of the attack. Drinkwater’s family is planning a memorial service to honor her life, and the community has rallied around them in their time of grief. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward as they work to uncover the circumstances surrounding this devastating crime.
